Surah Sad Verse 35

This time, let us together explore and reflect upon the story of Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him) as stated in the Quran. It is an intriguing tale of someone who was not only appointed as a Prophet but also a King who possessed immense wealth and a kingdom.

HOW GREAT WAS THE WEALTH OF PROPHET SOLOMON?

What about his wealth and power? Let us see what Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him) himself said:

Surah Sad Verse 35 In Arabic Text:

قَالَ رَبِّ ٱغْفِرْ لِى وَهَبْ لِى مُلْكًۭا لَّا يَنۢبَغِى لِأَحَدٍۢ مِّنۢ بَعْدِىٓ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ

Qaala Rabbigh fir lee wa hab lee mulkal laa yambaghee li ahadin min ba’dee innaka Antal Wahhaab

He prayed, “My Lord! Forgive me, and grant me an authority that will never be matched by anyone after me. You are indeed the Giver ˹of all bounties˺.” [Surah Sad verses 35]

Unparalleled wealth… unmatched by anyone! That was the wealth of Prophet Solomon (peace be upon him).

This prayer can be practiced every time you finish performing the obligatory prayers. However, it would be even better if you actively perform the Dhuha prayer and recite Prophet Solomon’s prayer every day.

However, all of these prayers must be accompanied by effort, striving, and your own hard work because wealth cannot simply fall from the sky without you exerting your own efforts.

Prayer is merely a supplication that can facilitate the arrival of sustenance.
