“Alhamdulillahi Robbil ‘Aalamiin, Arrohmaanir Rohiim, Maaliki Yau Middiin, Iyyaaka Na’budu Wa-iyyaaka Nasta-‘inn, ihdinas Siroothol Mustaqiim, Siroothol Laziina An-‘amta ‘Alaihim Ghoiril Maghdhuubi ‘Alaihim Waladdhoolliin”.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Master of the Day of Judgment. You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help. Guide us on the Straight Path, the path of those who have received Your grace; not the path of those who have brought down wrath upon themselves, nor of those who have gone astray.

Aʿūdhu bi-Llāhi s-Samīʿi l-ʿAlīmi mina sh-Shayṭāni r-Rajīm. (x3)

I seek refuge in Allah, the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing from Shaytan, the accursed. (Three times)

Law anzalnaa haazal quraana ‘alaa jabilil lara aytahoo khaashi’am muta saddi’am min khashiyatil laah; wa tilkal amsaalu nadribuhaa linnaasi la’allahum yatafakkaroon

Had We sent down this Quran upon a mountain, you would have certainly seen it humbled and torn apart in awe of Allah. We set forth such comparisons for people, ˹so˺ perhaps they may reflect.

Huwal-laahul-lazee laaa Ilaaha illaa Huwa ‘Aalimul Ghaibi wash-shahaada; Huwar Rahmaanur-Raheem

He is Allah—there is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him: Knower of the seen and unseen. He is the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.

Huwal-laahul-lazee laaa Ilaaha illaa Huwal-Malikul Quddoosus-Salaamul Muminul Muhaiminul-‘aAzeezul Jabbaarul-Mutakabbir; Subhaanal laahi ‘Ammaa yushrikoon

He is Allah—there is no god except Him: the King, the Most Holy, the All-Perfect, the Source of Serenity, the Watcher ˹of all˺, the Almighty, the Supreme in Might, the Majestic. Glorified is Allah far above what they associate with Him ˹in worship˺!

Huwal Laahul Khaaliqul Baari ‘ul Musawwir; lahul Asmaaa’ul Husnaa; yusabbihu lahoo maa fis samaawaati wal ardi wa Huwal ‘Azeezul Hakeem

He is Allah: the Creator, the Inventor, the Shaper. He ˹alone˺ has the Most Beautiful Names. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth ˹constantly˺ glorifies Him. And He is the Almighty, All-Wise.

ʿala lladhīna min qablinā, Rabbanā wa lā tuḥammilnā mā lā ṭāqata lanā bih, waʿfu ʿannā wa-ghfir lanā warḥamnā, Anta Mawlānā fa-nṣurnā ʿala l-qawmi l-kāfirīn.

We ask Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return. God does not compel a soul to do what is beyond its ability: one gets what one has earned and is responsible for what one deserves. Our Lord, do not punish us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, do not charge us with a burden like that You laid upon those before us. Our Lord and do not impose on us what we cannot bear. And pardon us, and forgive us, and have mercy upon us. You are our Protector, so help us against those who deny the truth.
[2:285-286]

Time and Technique: Reciting Ratib Al Attas

Embark on Ratib Al Attas’s journey at your convenience, yet a divine time is favored. Najib Assadok’s morning live sessions, between 7 am and 10 am, are a testament. Azizan Osman, on the other hand, conducts nocturnal recitations.

However, twilight hours before and after Maghrib hold greater sanctity. So, why not make the night rendition your next endeavor? A daily recitation suffices, but consistency and dedication are paramount.
